Project Overview
Lele Delivery App was built to address the lack of reliable food delivery infrastructure in tier 2 and tier 3 cities in Bihar, India. The application handles high volumes of concurrent orders daily, featuring real-time order tracking, localized restaurant recommendations, and optimized routing for delivery executives.
The Challenge
Developing a food delivery app for regions with variable mobile network bandwidths (2G/3G/4G) while maintaining real-time GPS tracking accuracy and low latency communication between clients, restaurants, and riders.
Our Engineering Approach
Built a lightweight native Android core that aggregates GPS updates in batches. Utilized Firebase Cloud Messaging and WebSockets for communication, minimizing data payloads and conserving client battery life during active tracking sessions.
